‘Don’t Waste Your Time Dating Only One Man, At Least Handle 3-5 Men At The Same Time’- Gospel Musician Advises

You’ won’t believe this advise could come a from a gospel musician who is supposed to know better but we all have opinions, don’t we?

Well, this US based-Ghanaian female gospel musician called Esaaba Haizel has revealed how she uses social media to advise young girls to date three to five men in order to assess them before selecting one to marry.

She posited that there’s a huge advantage in having multiple partners time without getting s*xually involved because they would be able to choose the right one best for them.

Speaking to Austine Woode on Abusua Entertainment, the relatively unknown singer  indicated that dating one man is very risky because the man might break the woman’s heart by jilting her after heavily investing in the relationship.

Here’s what she said:

I advised young girls on Facebook wall to have three to five men at the same time without having any sexual intercourse with them, you just have to be firm not to sleep with them, having multiple partners will help you to study them, then you let the rest go, by choosing just one. Why waste your time o date only one person?.
I’m saying this because you can’t have it all, one of the men would be interested in your business, one would be concerned about the food you eat on daily basis thereby supply your needs, the other will be interested in the shoes, make ups, clothing you wear, the list goes on.
I’m a Christian, is there something wrong with my advise to young ladies who aspire to marry?, its a good advice your pastor cannot give you,’ she quizzed.
Some men even marry their girlfriends’ friends on the d-day after having series of sexual bouts with them, giving them your hearts and all that.

M.anifest, MzVee, Wiyala And Gary Al-Smith Support 'Left-Behind' Campaign

Kwame Tsikata, the Afropop rapper known by stage name M.anifest, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda popularly known as MzVee and songstress, Noella Wiyaala Nwadei, Wiyaala and ace sports broadcaster Gary Al-Smith have travelled over 600 kilometres to come to the Ketejeli school in the Kpandai district of the Northern Region.

With close to two million followers between them on social media alone, these are some of Ghana’s biggest superstars.

Typically, they are signed to perform on big stages but today, they have come to this small community of about 2,000 people to speak to the children.

“I always see Wiyaala on TV. I sing Mzvee’s songs every day. Today I am seeing them. I think I am dreaming”, a girl says from the crowd of school children.

She can’t seem to hold back her smiles from morphing into laughter. She is upbeat and raises a hand wanting to answer every question.

So too are many of her mates seated. The children gathered here number about 50.

A dozen others also wander around the corridors of the classroom just meters away. The thick mango trees on the compound cast a warm shade from the blazing sun.

Abena Denteh is 16 and is talking about the first time she had her menstruation. The one asking the questions is MzVee, the popular dancehall songstress with fellow Afropop singer Wiyaala seated.
“Sometimes, I have boys laugh at me in school that I have Asante Kotoko in my pantie because my period has soiled my dress with blood. It makes me want to go home”, says Abena, answering her third question. “Yes, yes its true”, her girlfriends raise their voices in support.
Mzvee talks to a group of adolescent boys and girls

This school is one of the many in Ghana where UNICEF is helping address challenges facing adolescents in Ghana- mainly girls, with support from the Korean International Co-operation Agency (KOICA).

“The Akans say it is adulthood that some haven’t yet reached but we’ve all been children before. So we are here to speak to you from our hearts. To lend a hand. So that you do not give up”, said Manifest.

“I could have been married at 12”- Wiyaala

Wiyaala makes point as Gary looks on
The stars who make up this influencer team have incredible stories- overcoming some of the most daunting challenges that stand between children in Ghana and their dreams.

But Wiyaala, the Afro-pop songstress, has one that connects even more with that of the children of Ketejeli.
“I could have been married at 12,” she says.

Born in the Upper West regional town of Funsi-a village that did not even have electricity until five years ago, the conditions are very similar to this town.
In this part of the country, one in every three girls is married before the legal age of 18.

Nearly one in two of all adolescent girls aged between 15 and 19 years are anaemic – resulting in less energy and attention to engage in schooling, physical exercise.

Just over one in three girls aged 15-19 years reported to have experienced at least one act of sexual violence in Ghana. The gloomy figures are worrying because about 5.5 million Ghanaians fall within this adolescent brackets.

These may look like figures on paper but Wiyaala, growing up in Funsi, saw them in real life.

“When I was growing up, girls had no say. Your only use is to be married off for your bride price. I saw many girls taken out of the classroom and handed out to men- usually older men”, she says.

Today, she travels the world singing in her own Sisaali local dialect and has won for herself an array of global recognition including a feature on the CNN and BBC.

The three regions in northern Ghana see some of the highest levels of poverty and inequality compared to other parts of the country- with at least one in four people living below the poverty line.

That has implications for children and adolescents too.

Like many of her friends, Abena said “if Wiyaala came from Funsi and has succeeded, then me too, I can make it”.
Anne-Claire Dufay, the UNICEF Representative in Ghana, said, “adolescence is a crucial period of every child’s life and many young girls can feel vulnerable as they transition from childhood to adulthood.”

“The opportunities that girls are offered, and the support they are given can play a vital role in their chances of success in the future. It is essential to give every girl the best start as she enters into adulthood,” she added.

A girl makes a point as MzVee looks on
In all, KOICA is investing $5.2 million into this project as part of efforts to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This is to ensure that “by 2020 adolescent girls (aged 10-19) in Ghana should have knowledge, skills and enabling the environment to make informed decisions and achieve their full potentials”, says Yukyum Kim, Country Director at KOICA.

Internationally acclaimed broadcaster, Gary Al-Smith also has his own fairytale story of how he made it from childhood in Mamprobi, one of Accra’s poorest and most deprived inner-city suburbs.

As he travelled through Kpandai, he said “gender inequality is a critical area that we have to work hard to tackle. With my influence on a lot of boys through sports, I hope to empower girls as well to be just as confident - if not even more.”

Cape Coast: More 10, 13 year olds getting pregnant

The Cape Coast Metro Social Welfare Department is expressing worry about the increasing rate of pregnancies among children in the area.

According to the department, Cape Coast for instance recorded 25 cases of pregnant children within the age range of 10 and 13 years between January and April last year and the figure is expected to be high this year as more children are getting pregnant with each passing day.

This was disclosed by the Cape Coast Metro Director of the Department of Social Welfare, Mr. Daniel Agyepong at a town hall meeting at Amanful, a suburb of Cape Coast.

The situation, he explained is unhealthy as more girls are abandoning the classrooms due to pregnancies with many suffering health complications during the period of pregnancies due to their inability to access quality health care.

Those who impregnate such girls, he explained mostly deny responsibility leaving such girls to fend for themselves.

The meeting was organised by the Parish Justice and Peace Commission with support from the CCMA and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) on the theme, “Community Participation in Local Governance for Rapid Development”.

Mr. Agyepong bemoaned the penchant for some parents within the metropolis to shirk their responsibilities towards their children as a major cause of the disturbing situation.

Another disturbing development, he said, is the rate at which children of school going age loiter at the beach than be in school during instructional periods.

He indicated the future for the metropolis looked bleak if parents and guardians did not take up their responsibilities and reverse the current trend. In an instance he gave, he narrated how a father had given three children, half a bottle of club Muscatella as their meal for the day at school.

Mr. Agyepong said such attitudes push the children to engage in acts that retard their development.

In another account he gave, Mr. Agyapong lamented the situation where a 14-year-old girl was pregnant but could not readily identify the father of the unborn child.

He said the girl was accusing her fourth boyfriend of being responsible, a charge the boy refused. He said the girl acknowledged having had sexual relations with three other boys.

Mr. Agyepong blamed parents for such happenings in the metropolis.
He indicated the metro assembly was still committed to educating parents on the essence of good parenting.

“The CCMA will continue to drum home the essence of good parenting until every parent in this metropolis gets to know his responsibility. Until such a feat is achieved we will not stop this education”.

The rise of a new Ghanaian rap legend, Obibini

Rap music I would continue to say is a little bit underrated in the country currently, the music genre has seen great rappers holding it down, from the likes Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour to the new generation rappers Sarkodie, Teephlow, Medikal the genre seems to becoming a public interest again.

David Kwaku Effum Boafo known by the stage name Obibini, is one of the rap artiste taking the Genre to the next level.

He has a unique style of blending English with the twi language and each line blows your mind. He grew up listening to rappers such as Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, Outcast, and Busta Rhymes. Each of them influenced his style as he drew inspiration from them.

He started writing his very own music when he was a member of a music group back in Senior High School (Adisadel College); Ill Deadly Ministers (IDM) which helped him develop his song writing ability.

The rapper for a long time harnessed a large following, so it was very disappointing that he didn’t have any record label ready to sign him. That story however has changed as he is currently signed onto Zylofon Media.
Under new management nothing seems to be holding the rapper back, he released The Statement, a 2-minute-long rap music with hard core bars just to show what he is capable and tell others in the game to up their games because he has arrived.
His latest single Gogo Woho is enjoying massive media play which only tells me he is not just coming to add to the game but aiming to reign.

Not every man knows what commitment means, but a man who does, would make a good husband. A man who shows commitment in his marriage and is committed to his work and every other thing going on for him is the type that would most likely be a good husband.

God told me to marry my sister, 17, the Bible also supports it

A 25-year-old mathematics teacher who married his 17-year-old younger sister says God sanctioned the union.

Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe who works in a secondary school in the Aguata local government area of Anambra state said “there are places in the Bible that support such marriage”.

According to Chiadikobi, “by marrying one’s sibling, there will not be the possibility of introducing ugly situations, like diseases or social vices into the family.”

The wedding was reportedly conducted by Chiadikobi’s elder brother, Chijioke Ezeibekwe, who is the priest of Dwelling Fullness of God Church, Agba, Ekwulobia.

Speaking with Vanguard, the teacher who is the sixth of 10 children said, “I am a Sabbath and in searching through the scriptures, I discovered that one could marry his sibling. So, we went ahead with the arrangement to marry my younger sister.

“God told me to marry my sister and she also saw same vision. There are places in the Bible that support such marriage. Those in doubt should read Songs of Solomon chapters 4 and 5 and 1st Corinthians Chapter 7.

“Since we took this decision, I have not felt anything unusual, or felt that I did anything wrong. In the school where I teach, many people ask me about it and I boldly refer them to the Bible.

“Besides, by marrying one’s sibling, there will not be the possibility of introducing ugly situations, like diseases or social vices into the family.”

Reacting to the marriage, the traditional prime minister of Ekwulobia, Gabriel Ezeukwu, said: “Agba village youths, who saw the marriage as an abomination, set ablaze the church where the wedding took place.

“Before coming to me, they were considering various options, including whether to involve the police, resort to jungle justice or parade those involved round the town before subjecting them to other rituals,” he said.

“However, I ensured that the girl in question was subjected to rigorous pregnancy test to ascertain that she had not been impregnated by her brother and, after several tests, it was confirmed that she was not pregnant, which is a relief to everybody.”

The 30-year-old Hero of Ghana’s dancehall music signed for Zylofon music in June 2017 but would be parting ways with Zylofon Music sooner than expected as a result of some unfortunate development that the artist doesn’t feel comfortable with.

According to the source who spoke on condition of anonymity.“I don’t know details of their contract but definitely it gives room for one to withdraw at any time. Sometimes contracts are put aside for matters to be handled amicably” – the source said.
