I Am Going To Move To Atlanta Once I Am Done With My Jail Time – Meek Mill

Meek Mill is currently locked up in his hometown for violating probation and is scheduled to serve 2-4 years.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, The MMG rapper shared his plans following his release from prison which includes speaking out against the prison system and moving out of “the city of brotherly love.”

“Straight self-hate, man, it makes these people crazy,” Meek says in regard to the African-American police and judicial figures involved in his incarceration. “For a kid from North Philly to come all the way up, then be pulled back down by his own? Trust me, I’m gonna say something about that. And then, I’m gonna move to Atlanta.”

Since his first infraction in 2007, Meek has been haunted by the court/prison sentence and was constantly either in jail or on probation even after his career took off. Meek Mill’s booking agent, Clint Saunders, tells Rolling Stone that the ‘Wins & Losses’ MC lost $5 million in show money last fall when shortly after the latest album was released, Meek was jailed and obviously unable to perform.

Since his November sentence, Meek Mill says that he does not allow certain people to visit him in jail. “I won’t let them come,” Meek said. “If they see me like this – fucked-up beard, hair all ganked – then it’s like I’m really in here. Which I’m not.”

The controversy surrounding Meek’s case from a potentially corrupt police officer who arrested Meek back in 2007, Reggie Graham, to Judge Brinkley who allegedly asked Meek in front of Meek’s then girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, to record a remix to Boys II Men‘s hit song “One Bended Knee,” and when Meek declined she simply said, ‘suit yourself’ in a sarcastic manner.

Meek refused to wear a wire in any of his meetings with the judge as asked by the FBI because, “in my world that’s called snitching.”

That being said, it’ll be difficult to pin any clear corruption charges on Judge Brinkley, but in the case of the corrupt officer, Meek’s defense team may have something plausible to bring to the April 16 post-conviction hearing.

Ghanaians descend heavily on Kumi Guitar for dissing Stonebwoy

Zylofon Music signee, Kumi Guitar has been ‘attacked’ for releasing a song targeted at label mate, Stonebwoy.
Kumi Guitar after releasing the song took to his Facebook to wish his fans a happy new week.

His post attracted a heavy backlash from a section of the public who appeared unhappy about his song.
The release came after Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah called for peace while indicating his readiness to resolve any impasse.

Earlier, Kumi Guitar granted an interview to www.ghanaweb.com where he said his colleague Stonebwoy was ungrateful, selfish and greedy.
According to him, the posture of Stonebwoy is a threat to the progress of Zylofon Media and the industry as a whole.

“We have to learn to give back to people who are helping us. Stonebwoy can never say Zylofon media has done nothing for him. It was Zylofon Media that paid for all Stonebwoy’s expenses including his trips, recordings and his two major concerts which were held in Ashaiman and the National Theatre. Well many Ghanaians have not taken kindly to his song and posts on Facebook and have told him their piece of mind,” he said.

Well, Kumi Guitar’s decision to release the song is certainly in unwarranted, according to some music lovers.

I will murder you lyrically – Shatta Wale sends ‘serious’ warning to Stonebwoy

Shatta Wale is warning Stonebwoy to be careful of him, else he would kill him lyrically like he did to Samini.
The ‘Forgetti’ hit maker posted to this Facebook page: “Stonebwoy stop that silly thing ooo, ebi so Samini do weh I kill am lyrically.”

“This beef you dey try start, you can’t win and you know from your dear heart. I am Zylofon...are you Zylofon? Answer me,” Wale added with emojis depicting an angry face.

Shatta Wale and his seemingly arch dancehall rival, Stonebwoy

It is not really clear what is fueling this new ‘beef’, but reports have it that Stonebwoy’s latest single “Dirty Enemies”, is directed at Shatta Wale.

In the song, Stonebwoy sings of how his “dirty enemies” are threatening pastors, killing the youth and also insulting people’s mothers.

He also signs of how the “dirty enemies” should be mindful of their acts before they end up in a casket.

Entertainment pundits have attributed the lyrics of Stonebwoy’s song to Shatta Wale. It features Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan.

This follows Shatta’s recent “fight” with some pastors who have predicted death for him.

He did not take the “death prophecy” lightly, and threatened to burn down churches in Ghana if he should be alive by December.

The two Zylofon artistes seems to be at each other’s throat again after they made up during Stonebwoy’s Ashaiman to the World Concert last year.

Whatever the case may be, it is wished that they quickly settle their differences and work together at growing the entertainment industry, especially now that they are both signed on o Zylofon Music.

Zylofon Music fires Stonebwoy

Information gathered by Ghana Crusader indicates, Zylofon Media has fired 2014 BET Awards winner, Stonebwoy.

Since last week we’ve been on the ground investigating the seeming turbulence in the partnership between dancehall artiste Stonebwoy and record label Zylofon; sadly our close sources indicates that Sapashini’s reportedly juicy deal with multi-billion cedis record label Zylofon has been annulled due to what grapevine insiders described as ‘insubordination and misconduct’.

These allegations are dire and it will be in the interest of the industry and the public for both parties to come out to deny or confirm them.

Was Stonebwoy indeed fired for not promoting the brand? Was that a contract requirement?
More soon….

I Keep Marijuana "Wee" In My House To Entertain My Visitors - Edem

Ghanaian Hiplife musician, Denning Edem Hotor aka Edem has shockingly revealed that he has been keeping Marijuana/’weed’ called ‘wee’ in the local parlance in his house.

The ‘Mighty Jesus’ hitmaker disclosed that he has never smoked Marijuana/’wee’ before but he keeps the banned substance in his home to entertain his friends who visit him.

The legalization of ‘wee’ in Ghana has become a debate among Ghanaians as well as some musicians. Dancehall artiste, Samini has been among the many Ghanaians advocating for the banned substance to be legalised to boost Ghana’s poor economy.

Edem in an interview with Gatuso on Kasapa FM’s ‘Aben Wo Ha’ show stated that he does not smoke Marijuana but only keeps a smaller quantity of the substance to entertain his visitors.

“I no dey smoke wee but wee dey my house… I just no dey sell am. It just be small quantity wey boys come them for just fire…Policeman dey fire, Soldier dey fire, let’s not be hypocritical,” Edem said.

Ghana is currently the first in Africa and third in the world when it comes to the usage of Marijuana according to a UN report in June 2017.

‘Don’t Waste Your Time Dating Only One Man, At Least Handle 3-5 Men At The Same Time’- Gospel Musician Advises

You’ won’t believe this advise could come a from a gospel musician who is supposed to know better but we all have opinions, don’t we?

Well, this US based-Ghanaian female gospel musician called Esaaba Haizel has revealed how she uses social media to advise young girls to date three to five men in order to assess them before selecting one to marry.

She posited that there’s a huge advantage in having multiple partners time without getting s*xually involved because they would be able to choose the right one best for them.

Speaking to Austine Woode on Abusua Entertainment, the relatively unknown singer  indicated that dating one man is very risky because the man might break the woman’s heart by jilting her after heavily investing in the relationship.

Here’s what she said:

I advised young girls on Facebook wall to have three to five men at the same time without having any sexual intercourse with them, you just have to be firm not to sleep with them, having multiple partners will help you to study them, then you let the rest go, by choosing just one. Why waste your time o date only one person?.
I’m saying this because you can’t have it all, one of the men would be interested in your business, one would be concerned about the food you eat on daily basis thereby supply your needs, the other will be interested in the shoes, make ups, clothing you wear, the list goes on.
I’m a Christian, is there something wrong with my advise to young ladies who aspire to marry?, its a good advice your pastor cannot give you,’ she quizzed.
Some men even marry their girlfriends’ friends on the d-day after having series of sexual bouts with them, giving them your hearts and all that.
