The amazement stems not from the songstress’s claim of not having a man, but the duration of her staying single.

The ‘Come And See My Moda’ singer, speaking on Hitz FM claims that she has not had a boyfriend since she started music.

2012 is when MzVee was introduced to mainstream music via the girl group, D3, and she’s moved on to become one of the most-sought-after acts in Ghana.

So, in effect, MzVee has not had a boyfriend for the past 6 years!

The song depict rumours in marriage homes, which every married couples are suffering from today hence leading to several broken homes and relationships. The controversial singer, rapper, songwriter sited the man in the story as himself with a woman. In the story he was reported to his woman for cheating on her. This led to his maltreatment by his woman. But still he so admired his woman and that deep love is still there.

Unfortunately, the woman decided to leave him. There, he began to beg for another chance. But the woman seemed to be hard on him. He continued pleading. Since what the woman keeps saying about him is not true, he insisted on his truth by saying "Ebi Rumours! Rumours oooh! ooh!", as denote the chorus of the song sang by Kd Bakes.

In fact, Mikey Joe is a real star. He really knows what it takes to wow every music lovers. And trust me this is another hit song from the 'ROKOTO' hit maker, and it's is a must listening song. And you'll love it to the max.

The rise of a new Ghanaian rap legend, Obibini

Rap music I would continue to say is a little bit underrated in the country currently, the music genre has seen great rappers holding it down, from the likes Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour to the new generation rappers Sarkodie, Teephlow, Medikal the genre seems to becoming a public interest again.

David Kwaku Effum Boafo known by the stage name Obibini, is one of the rap artiste taking the Genre to the next level.

He has a unique style of blending English with the twi language and each line blows your mind. He grew up listening to rappers such as Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, Outcast, and Busta Rhymes. Each of them influenced his style as he drew inspiration from them.

He started writing his very own music when he was a member of a music group back in Senior High School (Adisadel College); Ill Deadly Ministers (IDM) which helped him develop his song writing ability.

The rapper for a long time harnessed a large following, so it was very disappointing that he didn’t have any record label ready to sign him. That story however has changed as he is currently signed onto Zylofon Media.

Under new management nothing seems to be holding the rapper back, he released The Statement, a 2-minute-long rap music with hard core bars just to show what he is capable and tell others in the game to up their games because he has arrived.

His latest single Gogo Woho is enjoying massive media play which only tells me he is not just coming to add to the game but aiming to reign.

Edem, Keeny Ice, Kasare, Kula And Others To Thrill Fans At Volta Music Awards

The stage is set for the maiden edition of the Volta music awards.

A scheme put together by Eventic GH in collaboration with the Volta regional branch of Musicians Union of Ghana to reward and recognize the effort of music makers and stakeholders projecting Volta excellence through good music.

The event scheduled for the 10th of March, 2018 will take place at the Ho Technical University auditorium where a little over 2000 audience are expected to attend.

A line up of show stoppers in the region has also been billed to thrill fans on the night. Proud son of the land and multiple awards winner, Denning Edem Agbeviade better known as Edem,Keeny ice,Kasare,Kula,Enamily,Mama Peace,Fiamor,Jah phinga,Agbeshie,Kels De poet have all been billed for a total show down.

According to the organizing team, they are wrapping up with preparations to make sure the maiden edition will go down in history as planned. 27 categories including “popular song of the year” and “Artiste of the year” will all be awarded on the night.

Volta is one of the smallest among the 10 regions in Ghana known for having all the big names in the music industry. The likes of Sarkodie,Shatta wale,EL,MzVee,Lil Shaker,Kwesi Dav(Gallaxy),Yaa Pono,Brainy Beatz,Ephraim Beatz,Magnom beatz all comes from the region.

Before Ghana’s independence in 1957, the country has been enjoying soothing composition and sounds from Volta by kind courtesy of Ephraim Kɔku Amu,Kofi Awoonor and Philip Gbeho whose composition eventually became Ghana’s official anthem till date.

Tickets are running at a cool rate of 30 for regular and 50 Ghana cedis for VIP. The public can get theirs at all radio stations in the region.

Yaa Pono assembles Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, others for ‘Ponobiom Live in Concert’

Tema- based rap giant, Yaa Pono, assembles top colleagues including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, King Ayisoba, Edem, Kwaw Kese, Tinny, and a host of others in a concert which he headlines, March 24.

Dubbed “Ponobiom Live in Concert (faster than gods edition)”, the show, which comes off at the West Hills Mall in Weija, will see the controversial rapper treat the thousands of expected fans to a long list of street anthems which he has built over the years.

The West Hills Mall is steadily becoming a preferred destination for many outdoor events, recently hosting the likes of Ebony, Asamoah Gyan, and Blakk Rasta in well-patronised shows.

The show is put together by Uptown Energy, and Pidgin Music.

Author of multiple hits and the Faster than Gods album (2017), Yaa Pono is widely regarded “king of the underground”, and is deemed among the most versatile acts from these parts, expertly blending a range of elements: hiphop, highlife, hip hop, dancehall and Afrobeats.

Stonebwoy To Say Good Bye To Zylofon Media - Insider Hint

Stonebwoy is the stage name of Livingstone Etse Satekla, a Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste. He is the CEO of Burniton Music Group.

The 30-year-old Hero of Ghana’s dancehall music signed for Zylofon music in June 2017 but would be parting ways with Zylofon Music sooner than expected as a result of some unfortunate development that the artist doesn’t feel comfortable with.

According to the source who spoke on condition of anonymity.“I don’t know details of their contract but definitely it gives room for one to withdraw at any time. Sometimes contracts are put aside for matters to be handled amicably” – the source said.

The grand signing of Shatta Wale by Zylofon could be one of the many factors despite Zylofon Media apologising for the occurrence.

“We apologise to fans of Stonebwoy for that. Nobody intends to give prominence to one over other artists.” – Sammy Baah, spokesperson for Zylofon Media told Abusuah FM that all artist are their priority and not only Shatta Wale

Hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese of the Mad Time Entertainment has indicated that he is working on an album to reintroduce himself into the entertainment industry.

According to him, Ghanaians have missed the real Kwaw Kese for a very long time and he thinks it is high time he brings back his old self.

He indicated that the album which is titled “Reborn” will feature artistes such as Pappy Kojo, Medikal, his brother Buda and other amazing talents.

Kwaw Kese who was speaking to Yvonne Okoro on GhOne TV indicated that his favourite Ghanaian artiste is Samini because they get along very well but indicated that his favourite foreign artiste is Wyclef Jean.

GN Bank Awards winners to receive prizes on 28th February

Winners of the 2017 edition of the GN Bank People’s Celebrity Awards will receive their prize packages on 28th February 2018 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

The presentation of the prize packages is expected to bring together stakeholders within the Arts and Entertainment Industry as well as the winners of the 2017 edition.

The GN Bank Awards is an annual award scheme which seeks to award and celebrate players within the Ghanaian Arts and Entertainment Industry who have contributed to the development of the industry as well as those who have excelled in their various fields in the year under review.

At the last edition of the awards, category winners received a cash amount of GHC3,500 and a weekend package for two at Coconut Grove Beach resort in Elmina, which amounted to GHC5,000.

The Ultimate winner received a package of GHC10,000 whilst the Lifetime Achievement Awards recipient received a package worth GHC5,000.

This year has witnessed major add-ons with the prize packages at all levels.

Winners of each category will receive a prize package worth GHC6,500 and the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will receive a package worth GHC10,000.

It's a New Range Rover for Medikal

Barely a year after his accident, Samuel Frimpong Adu professionally known as Medikal has bought for himself a Ranger Rover. The AMG Music signed act showed of his new car via his official snapchat account “AMGMedikal” and it’s a wonderful sight to watch.

The car which is customized “MDK 1” with a registeration of 2018 has a silver color. The young rapper was involved in an accident barely a year ago on his way from a show in Ada with his crew members and thankfully they survived even though the car was damaged beyond repairs.

The 2018 Music year is here and there is much stuffs coming from the young chap. You have to be calm and wait for it.

When it is released, this will mark Wizkid’s first ever EP. The singer has three albums, 2011’s “Superstar,” 2014’s “Ayo (Joy),” and “Sounds From The Other Side,” which he released under his deal with RCA Records.

Criss Waddle Dashes One Old Woman With GH¢5000 & The Reason Is Encouraging

They say, one good turn deserves another. Simply put, if someone does you a favour, you should take the chance to repay it. In view of this, musician Criss Kwaku Waddle has put to work the above assertion.

The CEO of Arab Money Gang (AMG) business in a latest post on Facebook has recounted how one woman used to help him growing up. According to the musician, the woman who happens to be a rice seller then once gave him 50 pesewas to school when he misplaced his pocked money. He posted on Facebook that:

“Years ago I misplaced My school chop Money being 50 pesewas and a rice seller gave me some in return,this morning I gave 5,000cedis to the same person that use to give me 50 pesewas back then without even remembering she helped me before,see life is funny,after I gave her he help,she reminded me of our encounter years ago,this is what I figured after she reminded me about everything from the past …that We actually reap what we sow before we all leave Earth,if your wish is to do good today,do it without expectations so that when ur reward comes whiles u r on earth,u will see how God works in miraculous ways #AmGBUSiNESS”.

We do believe this act of generosity from the camp of Criss Waddle is worthy of emulation by Ghanaians. This is because man will certainly reap whatever he sow someday according to the Christian sacred book.

Police to invite Shatta Wale over threat to burn down churches

Information indicates that the Ghana police service is set to invite Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale 33, following threats to burn down churches of persons he describes as false prophets predicting his death.
Shatte Wale has threatened to lead the Shatta movement to burn down churches if he’s still alive by December 2018.
His threats follow a prediction by a Kumasi-based Prophet E. K. Mensah of the Christ Vision Prayer Ministry indicating that he will be the next star to die by the end of 2018 if he fails to repent.
It is on the back of this threat that sources in the Police Service are hinting that investigations have been opened to the issue.

Flowking Stone To Okyeame Kwame: ‘Never Think Of Running As MUSIGA President; Look At What They Did To Kojo Antwi’

Kumasi-based rapper, Flowking Stone has sounded a word of caution to his brother and colleague Okyeame Kwame never to contest for the presidency of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). The Go Low hitmaker is particularly worried about the incessant attacks leaders of the union are often subjected to and used the legendary Kojo Antwi as a case study. I would have vouched for Okyeame Kwame to be the MUSIGA President but at the same time, I know that he is building a type of brand that is surrounded with respect. The moment he is in that position, people will just call and insult him anyhow. When Kojo Antwi was with GHAMRO, there were a lot of things that could’ve tarnished his legacy. This is a much-respected man but because he got involved, his legacy was almost tarnished. Okyeame Kwame is one of the most revered personalities in the music industry and with the vast experience at his disposal, we think he would be a great leader indeed.
